La entrega 70° de los Emmy Awards se emitieron en la NBC el lunes por la noche con los anfitriones Colin Jost y Michael Che, del equipo Saturday Night Live Weekend Update, para presentar los premios a los mejores talentos de TV en vivo desde el Microsoft Theater. La ceremonia de 2018 marca un cambio histórico para los Premios Emmy, moviendo la ceremonia del domingo al lunes por la noche en un intento por aumentar las calificaciones en declive.
Esta noche fue una noche maravillosa para, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Maisel. La serie de comedia de primer año barrió las categorías de comedia, ganando en grande en Mejor Comedia, Mejor Actriz y Mejor Actriz de reparto, mientras que la creadora Amy Sherman-Palladino ganó tanto para escritura como para dirección. No hay nada que detenga esta espectacularmente bien escrita serie de Amazon, que también barrió los Globos de Oro a principios de este año.
